I'm genuinely surprised that the heat of a dishwasher doesn't melt (or at least warp) the keyboard housing and the moving parts! It is, after all, only ABS. Also, given that dishwasher detergent is full of mildly corrosive inorganic salts, I should think it would make things worse.

Speaking of putting odd things in dishwashers, did anybody see this Sunday's (6/5/2005) funnies? Specifically, "Zits"? I found an online copy:
