Hi Joe, I've been reading all this with interest, and when I saw your question I went looking. I have an old copy of Visio version 4 (the flowcharting software) that's dated 11/21/1995. I've kept this one around because it doesn't use the registry. And it works fine under Windows XP Home, so there's at least one. Actually, the interesting thing that neither you nor Walden has mentioned is something I ran across when looking at the properties of Visio.exe. There was a Compatibility tab, which has a checkbox allowing you to run an older program in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows. It lists Windows 95, Windows 98/ME, Windows NT 4.0 SP5 and Windows 2000. I'd be interested to hear if it helps one of your old games run. I'd be interested to know how many programs written in 1995 run on Windows XP. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
