I believe I have taken care of that with a previous DELETE in the job
stream.  Here's the whole thing:

DELETE FROM IMIMSG WHERE IMMSG = '' OR
                         IMACRC = 'D' OR
                         IMITEM NOT IN (SELECT ITNBR FROM DMITMMST);
--
-- Update active code to match current item master
--
UPDATE IMIMSG
  SET IMIMSG.IMACRC = (SELECT DMITMMST.ACREC
                       FROM DMITMMST
                       WHERE DMITMMST.ITNBR = IMIMSG.IMITEM
                       );

I'm still testing it out, but I think it's working.

I feel like I'm reaching the dangerous stage with this stuff. <g>

In all honesty, once I really get the syntax down, it's almost scary how
easy this is.  I feel like I'm missing something.
