Most of my clients use SEQUEL/Viewpoint from ASC (www.asc-iseries.com).
It's got a piece that uses a component of Crystal Reports, so you can get
fancy.

The beauty is that not only does it give you data retrieval and report
writing capabilities, but it can also be used as a programming tool.

One client is in your backyard. Among other things, they use it for their
union reports.

We are reevaluating our reporting solution. Right now we use
a product called CorVu to pull the data back out of our database and
write reports, but it leaves something to be desired. We are going to be
evaluating crystal reports, Microsoft reporting services, and possibly
other products. What does your company use for reporting? Do you like it
or dislike it? What are some things you wish you had known before you
purchased?
