Jeff, You have a WHERE clause that selects the value to assign to IMIMSG.IMACRC. If the select clause doesn't find a record because of the WHERE clause it will assign NULL to IMIMSG.IMACRC. Every record in IMIMSG will always get updated. You do NOT have a WHERE clause that selects which records in IMIMSG will get updated. Paul
