You can also run a Trace to see if the problem is on the ISeries or Client 
Access, there might be other devices that are disconnecting the pipe but the 
Trace won't see that. (router, switch, hub, firewall, network devices). If one 
of these are faulty or butt into the conversation, if they are sending out a 
reset, the Trace won't see that. The trace can see if the Iseries is sending 
out the resets.

One of our customers is having the opposite problem from 
what I was having to deal with on that public application: 
Telnet sessions time out after only a couple minutes of 
idle time.

Does anybody know anything about cause and/or cure for 
this?
