Peter -

Maybe you don't have before/after images journaled on a particular file?

In the case of new records added to the file, you will only see UP entries...

Steve

Subject: Journals (UB-Before / UP-After)

Hi list!

I know that for journal code R the possible journal entry types to follow
up on record updates on a database are:

UB - Before-image of record updated in physical file member
UP - After-image of record updated in physical file member

In some cases, after displaying some entries, I see just UPs with no
UBs.... Why is that? My reports for Before/After are a little crazy
because of this.

I really appreciate your advice on this...
