Neil,Yep. You can use 2843 or 2844 IOPs but not the 2842. I'm not absolutely positive the 2842 wouldn't work but it's not supported so I wouldn't go there.

Larry, Looks like I'd need to order a #2844 on the 520 to attach the $#2749 - don't think there's a IOP in the 270 I could swipe (looks like on that it's using a #2842). Do you concur? ...Neil --- Larry Bolhuis <lbolhuis@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote:Haven't done that since 2PM yesterday. Works like acharm if yer holdin' one. If not, is there an IOP that will attach a 3580-H11toan i5 model 520 ? (I can';t seem to find one). I can't seem to find anything that says a #2749 canbeinstalled in a 520, and the #2749 was withdrawnfromsale by IBM in March, so I'm beginning to thinkthiscustomer may need to replace the 3580-H11 theyboughtonly a year ago for an H23 or H33 (LTO-2 or LTO-3) with an LVD connection when they replace their 270 with a 520.
