I'm wonderin if anyone has dealt with this. Our network/firewall team is having a bit of a problem opening ports that we need to manage the iSeries. They complain that IBM has "stolen" ports registered to other services with the IANA. For example, port 2300 needed for HMC console telnet is registered to HP CVMMON. While it seems this registry is just a record for convenience, has anyone else had to deal with this? Anyone from IBM have the reasoning on why ports are not registered? ************************************************************************** The information contained in this communication is confidential, is intended only for the use of the recipient named above, and may be legally privileged.
