Although java is a multi-threaded language it surely doesn't have to be used
in that way.  Java apps can (and usually are I suspect) written to single
thread.  That being the case, why would there be a problem?

Thread safety is only an issue within a job - not across the system.

P.S. Wouldn't this make more sense in the Java list?
