They are actually set up as windows events.

You have to go to the control panel

Select "Sounds and Audio Devices"

Select the Sounds Tab then scroll down through the list.

It has been near the end of the lists I have worked with.

I don't mind the way mine works, but some of my co-workers
were getting the ding to happen so often it became problematic
she removed most of hers.

You could always replace the WAV files with your own or the old ones.
They're in Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Emulator.

Minor point but I am sure users will complain: I just installed the v5r3
version of Client Access. The sounds have changed from the "usual dong".
Any idea of how I change the sounds in Client Access?
The preferences tab does not allow for specific sound files to be
selected.
