Perhaps your life could be easier if you would add another interface to your iSeries using your new IP Address. Then you will have both IP addresses assigned to your iSeries. When your DNS changes, it would then point it to the correct IP. In the mean time your system would run business as usual, and would possibly ease the cutover phase. Add the interface by using the CFGTCP command, option 1. When creating the interface, use the same line description for the new interface. hth.
