Lukas,

For doing SNADS over TCP/IP you will need to set up Anynet. Check out Redbook
SG24-2531. i thas a chapter that tells you step by step what to do.

For copying the directry entries, sorry, I don't know a way to do it except
manually, and there MUST be a better way than that.

subject: SNADS over TCP/IP / Backing up/Restoring DIRE?

Hi,

Iam kinda now to the whole AS/400 World, but have a variety of
experiences with Linux and Windows.

I want to get two machines talking together using SNADS, and i didn't
really find some hands-on documentation on this on the Internet.

Can anyone point me into the right direction? Iam willing to read lot's
of documentation, but i can't find anything which seems relevant to what
i want to do.

These two Machines are running V5R3, and are both 520's.

My second problem is that i want to migrate WRKDIRE entries from an
older machine, running V4R4 to a new Machine, running V5R3. I looked at
the CMDSAV Menu, but didn't really find what i need to do. Anyone got
some documentation for this?

Thanks in Advance, and greetings from Switzerland
