I know I'm jumping in a little late, but it's not that difficult to write a separator page program that is called before your report program. You will need an OVRPRTF with SHARE(*YES) to make the separator page be a part of the report spool file. You can pass whatever parameters you want printed on the page.

I also tried the 'simple' route, but liked being able to print big letters so that the separator pages popped right out.

Tom,
In my vernacular, what I'm talking about is a separator page printing
out BEFORE each print file, sometime call a job, is printed. The point
being to print something that quickly identifies the printout so that
anyone picking it up can quickly separate their printout from someone
else's.
