At a previous job we had good success (and Accounting was fairly happy
with) a package by Global Software (the vendor may be called 'Mediclick'
now). We used AP, GL, CM and Materials. Around the time I left, they had
sunset the Materials piece of the package and moved it to an remote hosted
model, but I don't think they've done the same thing with their core
products (AP, GL, CM). (The materials piece was kludged in with their core
products and had been purchased from another company and quickly
integrated). We used a different payroll package, so I can't comment on
that piece of the puzzle. The application was stable, 5250 based with
some available spreadsheet type/Cognos report writer integration, easily
updated and patched with a PTF type model, included source code, and their
tech support was very good to work with on almost all the issues we ever
encountered.

If anyone is aware of an accounting software vendor that is reasonably
priced and is modular (meaning I can use either just the GL portion, AP,
AR,
payroll, etc. without needing the WHOLE package)....I would appreciate it
if
you would pass their information along to me......

I am looking for a new package and it must have 5250 support......web based

is not an option for us right now and I am not interested in paying for it
now in hopes that we MIGHT use it five years down the road.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Douglas

If you bought it, it was hauled by a truck - somewhere, sometime.
