20+ years ago my systems analysis instructor told a tale of a plant worker who ran his forklift into a data entry device to save a union guy his job. Worker had to pay for the device. Turns out management cleared this with the union by having the piece of machinery pay dues. That's really all the union cares about. Rob Berendt
