I totally agree. I'd rather have the development time in my apps spent on
testing the underlying business logic than look and feel.  

 As for GUI I have adjusted.  I now only use my left hand for typing on the
keyboard and my right hand on the mouse.

  This weekend my wife and I placed an order for a new sewing machine and
accessories.  Our sales lady entered the order using a Windows  thick-GUI
client, which required her to alternate between keyboard and  mouse several
time to complete the order.  A UI with either strait  keyboard, or strait
