It seems to me it can also convert subroutines to procedures, as well as other nice things that support the new syntax, even probably some free-form stuff. And you control which elements are changed - you can leave all MOVEs alone or convert to EVALs.

Nothing like doing this type of conversion is really "relatively simple" however.
