I would suggest to check structure of those files once again if You're getting
this message
"Data Mapping error on member..."
Thank You.

Michael and Rob,
On your questions:
Common thread - Just about everything. That is to say, I created all
the tables using the same SQL via Ops Navigator. Dropping and
recreating the tables doesn't help.
No messages in QSYSOPR msg queue but I did find some more in my joblog
(I'm running this from my userid):
Data Mapping error on member BFUT145AP
This seems crazy since, as I said before, I created the source and
target tables from the same SQL. But at least this "deeper" error
explains the top level error of "Unable to open or create target ..."
QTFTP* jobs in QSYSWRK don't show any problems
there are no exit points
the libraries involved are MY libraries and my storage is *NOMAX
All scripts are built similar. I can follow the run of the failing
scripts with a rerun of those that FTP against the other files that
never had a problem and they will rerun perfectly. Doesn't matter if
I CD to my library or not; same problem. I'd tried CLRPF as well as
DROPPING and re-CREATING the tables; no luck when FTPing.
What's even more weird is I can run some SQL that does an INSERT from a
SELECT of data from a copy of the master table on the same LPAR (my
tables are a subset of the columns of the original table and a copy of
the original is found in both LPARs) and the INSERT works perfectly.
I'm stumped. Any more ideas?
Thanks for helping.
Dave
I've experimented and find a couple of things
