Hi Rob,

Actually we're on V5R2M0 on a 720/240 machine. But we'll be getting a
shiny brand new 520E/1000 within a few months :). Then our current
AS/400 will be demoted to a DRP machine.

Brian.

V5R3M0 will be the last version of i5/os to support 8gb or lower drives
http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/support/iseries/planning/upgrade/f
uturehdwr.html
V5R3M5 already requires 17GB or higher.
That same site says that 8GB is the currently supported minimum. And
you're running 4GB.
I checked the upgrade planning guides for V5R1 on up and none of them
mentioned when 4GB had to be replaced with 8GB or higher, so either you
are running a very old version of OS, or you've been on an unsupported
configuration for quite some time.
