Sorry so late to the party, I went out for lunch. We have V5R3 installed on a 170 with a 4 GB load source. To install V5R3 from an Image catalog we had to free up 1074 MB on the load source. To do this: STRASPBAL TYPE(*ENDALC) UNIT(1) then STRASPBAL TYPE(*MOVDTA) TIMLMT(60) That should fix you. I've seen similar problems with drives that are 2 sizes or more apart in the same ASP. On an older box we had a 2 GB drive in an ASP with all 8 GB drives and saw the same thing happen. Thanks to everyone who offered some great suggestions. Our load source is now at a "comfortable" 91.5%. :P Brian. -----Original Message----- From: fbocch2595@xxxxxxx [mailto:fbocch2595@xxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 13, 2006 12:53 PM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Load Source Drives at 99.9% or ++++ qrplobj might b/a place to gain some space also. -----Original Message----- From: Jones, John (US) <John.Jones@xxxxxxxxxx> To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Fri, 13 Jan 2006 11:08:25 -0600 Subject: RE: Load Source Drives at 99.9% or ++++ Emergency cleanup: Look for journal receivers to back up/delete. We, for instance, have a bunch of used BCC/eStorage 17GB disks that fit in a 720 that we are looking to sell cheeeep. Contact me off-line if interested. </semi-plug>
