And another possible _contributing_ reason for a number of years -- the simple 
drop in price for various performance levels. If I'm in a small office and need 
a small system and it costs less this year to get a new system than it does to 
pay continuing maintenance on my old system...?

Performance vs. price _could_ make a difference.
