Assuming the communications are in place, using this enhancement could really allow the iSeries to integrate more easily into the balance of the world. One question does come to mind. If the target machine were Linux (who cares what distro) and you wanted to get at the C++ calls for MySQL, say to create a user handle, how would you want to see the thing get built? Jim
