I don't know of anything within the OS/400 that would allow
you to do this, but our SpoolFlex product would let you view
these spooled files.
SpoolFlex allows you to view ASCII (PCL) and *AFPDS spooled
files from it's Manage Spooled File screen which looks
similar to IBM's Work Output Queue and Work Spooled File.
Just use option V=View and it will display these spooled
files along with the lines, boxes, graphics and bar codes
etc.

Subject: Viewing barcode while developing PRTF

Is there a utility from IBM or a third party vendor that
will allow you to
see how a report with a barcode on it looks while you are
developing the
PRTF? Right now, we make a "best guess" and then run the
report. Tweak and
run report again. I didn't know if something like AFPU has
something in it?

TIA.
