It knows what is mounted for forms. Is it possible that it believes the checks are already mounted; so why send a message?

Try changing one of the OVRPRTF to formtype=plain.

The report prints out fine but the system refused to issue either a
"mount forms" or "align forms" message for either form.

Both forms DO go on hold. When released, they print fine.

Since one of the reports is checks, we want a forms mount message to
occur for the plain paper report that follows the checks.

It ain't happening and I'm stumped.
