I just did my age & it is 111111 & I have been in this line of work for
101000 come June (6/6/66) - what a nice first day in Data Processing,
never really looked at that date. Yes it was punched card equipment &
360's with & without disk's & S/3 Mod xxx's & S/23(DataMaster) & IBM's
first "luggable" the 5120 & S/34 & S/36 & AS/400. The only one I missed
was the S/38.

First language was IBM 1401 Auto Coder at the M&I Bank in Milwaukee,
Waterloo BASIC for the 5120 & S/23 & various iterations of RPG since
then.

Unfortunately the AS/400 was replaced with M$ SQL Server a year ago so
it's starting all over with SQL, VB.NET, MorphX & X++ as a development
language for the M$ Axapta ERP Solution.

I think it is time to hang it up. It's been a long run, immensely
enjoyable & frustrating but I'm glad I did the computer bit.

Thanks - Dennis
