I'm currently exploring the situation with the vendor, but it's a slow
process. I'm just wanting to know if my expectations are wrong in this....

Is this in the archives somewhere? I'd like to review this.

Very strange. You would think a code library would have loads of
documentation, as well as a helpful developer or two to help you out
with the 'clue' factor. Closed source, I take it? Can you step through
the library code in debug at least?

I suppose all you can do is read the support contract, and then ask for
a written copy of their support policies prior to purchase. You could
ask to review the library documentation prior to purchase to see if it
looks adequate.

I assume you went up the ladder to management. The squeaky wheel and
all...
