So, what I'm gathering from the responses is this : 1. Upgrade to V5R3 (Which I was planning to do regardless of this conversation) 2. If I needed to use the 550 for DR, I could. 3. Since there is no longer a 'primary partition' on the 550, I could be at V5R3 and another LPAR (or all of them) could be at V5R4, V5R5, ...V6Rx or whatever. I appreciate the input on the older hardware and thinks to think about and I certainly will review that, but this was more of a question on purely the 'version restriction'.
