I know that RM had a Cobol product.  Didn't know about the Fortran.  At a 
previous employer we looked at RM COBOL for platform independence. Instead 
of separate screen files like on the S/36 or the S/38 it handled screens 
within the code itself, blink this, reverse that, etc.  And it wasn't bit 
twiddling either.
