Instead of going to a spool file, change it to an output file. And since it is Query Manager, and not Query/400, you could change it from STRQMQRY QMQRY(MINE) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(MYLIB/MYOUTFILE) to STRQMQRY QMQRY(MINE) by changing the sql statement from the select ... to insert into mylib/myoutfile values( select ... ) then you could use CPYTOIMPF or RPG IFS api's to export it to excel or access. Or Excel could use the imbedded option to retrieve data from iSeries. For what it's worth, there are ways of imbedding the whole select into that option to retrieve data from the iSeries. Rob Berendt
