John, I agree with you, but I decided not to go THAT far into it. The main point I was trying to make is that quite often, the ownership of newly created objects is never considered when creating/managing user profiles, period. What you say is dead on and I've implemented a two-profile ownership scheme in the past (one for production, one for test) in the manner you described. But... try telling that to a JDE shop or Infinium shop (S2KOBJOWNR) that wants to clean up the object ownership issues for a "wide open" application like that. They can't just go in there and start changing stuff without understanding the potential impact. Some are just now realizing they should set the password to expired for a newly created profile!
