RE: Service Program Signatures and Change Management

|We are a Turnover shop.
|We use an H spec with BNDDIR (for our RPGLE) to bind to our service
|programs.
|Works nice for the CRTBNDRPG.
|We use binder source on our service programs.  We always put the new
|procedures at the end.
|We don't change the layout of the parameters used by the individual
|procedures within the service program.
|We do not have to recompile our service programs when we change the
|programs that use them.
|We do not have to recompile the programs that use our service programs
|when we recompile the service programs.
|We use /copy modules for procedure prototypes.
|We use /copy modules for prototypes for many of the api's.
|We use /copy modules for many common D specs.
|
|Well, most of us do.  One gent will commonly use his SEU to manually
copy
|in the stuff from the /copy modules and rename a few variables and
stuff.
|Oh well, he makes nice coffee.
