I'm not Scott but ...

A) Comma (or tab) delimited file.  Can include formulas and values but (to
the best of my knowledge) no way to handle formatting (colors etc.)

B) HTML.  Can include formulas, values, and formatting.  MS have removed the
details of how to code formulas etc. from their web sites but you can still
find it if you dig.

C) XML.  Pro versions of 2003 can (I think) read it.  Any version of 2003
can produce it if you installed the option.

Future versions are all headed towards XML as I understand it.
