Oh....I guess I need to get this figured out then.  I thought I needed to
schedule a evening around this & schedule a mini-outage for it.

Maybe someone can help me out here?

Debbie,

Just yesterday I put in a disk drive without bringing the system down. 
It's really no big deal.  I've even removed and added cards.  There are 
some options in STRSST to do this.
