Just like Gilda Radners old lady character said... "NEVER MIND..." I needed to say ALWREPCHG(*YES), allow trigger program to repeat change. It works fine... I thought that if I modify the AFTER record image, that is what is going to Be in the record... My example: My trigger program is set for *BEFORE change, *UPDATE Action... (I tried *AFTER change, but that did same thing...) On the record update, if field PRINT_IT is a "Y", I Process my other file, which happens properly. BUT then I want to change the value of PRINT_IT to "D" (done), and Update 2 other fields (qty printed, date printed). I put the values into the AFTER portion of the buffer, but that Does not work... Silly me first tried to CHAIN and UPDATE that record, but it was locked (of course by the 1st program that caused the triger to fire...) Can I not do this (have the triger program modify the data in that record)??? Thanks Gerald
