Different databases will have different syntax -- obviously. As for the
approach, I'd say it's roughly the same, you want two result sets, you
open two queries. In SQLServer it's implied that a select will be
returned, in DB2 you need to declare the cursor. They both result in
result sets getting returned to the caller.
