This is an all iSeries web process (so far). > jim franz Not a roll-your-own type solution, but S4i Express can monitor an IFS directory for new files, read, burst and bundle pages based on the contents. In researching the issue, I found that "reading PDFs" can be too vague a term. With the ubiquity of PDFs I assumed that a program that could read one PDF would be able to read them all. As the old song says, "It ain't necessarily so!" Beyond having the text saved internally [not combined into one big image], formatting differences can throw the reading software off. The solution we ultimately choose [S4i] will require a PTF to read the documents produced by Formsprint. I would have never known if I hadn't asked for a demo using the tools in question.
