I also spent few minutes talking to these guys at COMMON, nice guys.  It
seems they have taken their xSeries Linux software and recompiled it to
run on a Linux partition on the iSeries...giving them more available
horsepower. I think that is pretty smart on their part and it sure makes
IBM happy.

 

The other thing I found out about 3COM is that they are all software
based, which is different from other IP Telephony vendors that require
you to purchase their hardware.

 

If I sound like I am plugging them, well I will plug any good ISV that
ports its' software to run on the System-i hardware ...especially if the
result is because they get more horsepower.
