Beyond Carsten's comment, for the archives...

Try Retrieve System Status (QWCRSSTS) API, formats SSTS0200, SSTS0300 & 
SSTS0400 depending on exactly what is needed. That gives info on the pools 
system-wide.

Then perhaps use Retrieve Subsystem Information (QWDRSBSD) and/or List 
Subsystem Entries (QWDLSBSE) APIs. Those can help determine how specific pools 
are distributed for use within subsystems; routing entries and prestart job 
entries use subsystem pools.

Also, see Change Pool Attributes (QUSCHGPA) and/or Change Pool Tuning 
Information (QWCCHGTN) APIs. Those are for the shared pools themselves 
regardless of subsystem association.

All of these are Work Management APIs.
