I just used my first Operations Console cable. When configuring on the
PC, make sure to add the modem. It shows up as an "AS400 Operations
Console Connection". I blew past this step and had to have someone hold
my hand while I added the modem, from disk, C:\Program Files\IBM\Client
Access\Aoc\Inf\cwbopaoc.inf

Then I had to re-boot the AS400 since it came up fully without a
console. V5R3 SI21917 of iSeries Access for Windows and V5R3 on the
iSeries 520.

Continues

Thanks Bryan. I was thinking about that option. I'll just have to
rummage around and see if I can find the cable. However, I have never
used ops console so I am sure there are plenty of "gotcha's" there as
well.
