Scott, I "fat fingered" when I wrote PSP. I meant PGP (Pretty Good Privacy). On REXX, nope don't mean REXEC. I mean REXX, the IBM standard utility language common to all IBM platforms. It's like using CL except more robust (CL gets closer to REXX capability in V5R3) as it's a real language. But, it doesn't have the restrictions of the "format" languages. Very quick to program in and test with since its notcompiled. It also executes fast even though its interpretative. It's a free form language that's probably one of the best for string manipulation, you can easily create matrixes, use SQL and more. REXX has been around since the '70s, if I remember correctly. Lots of examples and books written about it. Created by an IBMer by the name of Mike Collishaw; hope I spelled that correctly. You should check it out. Dave
