The 1022N is a personal printer which requires Windows to print. I don't think it can be addressed directly by the AS400. It may work with an external HP print server.

We purchased some new HP LaserJet 1022n printers. Output Queues and

they are seen by the AS/400/iSeries/eSeries (what ever you want to call
it). They print fine from windows applications. We tried setting them up
using both the *HP4 and *HP5 drivers to no avail.
We never ran in to this before. Any ideas?
