This is an RPG question, and it is not a beginner assignment like the others you posed. The easiest way to do this is to find another program someone has already written that does this, then copy the code, making adjustments related to needs of latest program.

Note that PAGE up down keys on a PC keyboard perform the same role as SCROLL up down on an IBM keyboard. You may want the logic to test for both possibilities. You might want to give user the option of jumping around in what is being presented, so before processing what is on the screen, test for which special function keys might have been pressed.

Note that with DDS you can define split screen, with some header info not being changed, when the subfile or array-like portion of the screen needs to get refreshed.

i am using a single page subfile (page by page)..
now when page down or page up keys are pressed.
i want the records selected by the user to by placing
     2 or 4 in the option colomn....to
remain on the screen ... i have never done it before i have a confusion..
because when page down or page up is pressed . the subfile is rebuild.
and the options selected by keing in the option colomn ..i dont know how to do this.
can any one give me the solution..
     thank s all
