it is good in a way that system p sales dropped along with the i. If
system i sales had dropped as they did and system p grew, IBM would be
tempted to drop us. As it is, this might be a wake up call that the p
and i are in the same boat together and it is time to merge the two
systems ( system pi ! )

IBM has to stand its ground and fight. With the steady improvement of
Intel based servers and MSFT server OS, what is the value add of a PPC
server from IBM? an improved i5/OS perhaps?
