Hi, Steve:The "Copy Objects" screen is part of PDM and is a "front-end" to the various copy commands.
To prove this to yourself and your colleague, go to the PDM main menu (STRPDM), then press F18=Change Defaults, page down and change "Log option commands" to "Y" and press Enter.
Then use 3=Copy (from WRKOBJPDM) and after you copy different object types, you can press F10 (twice) in PDM to see the commands that were issued.

What is the difference between CRTDUPOBJ and option 3 (Copy) on the WRKOBJPDM panel? I know that option 3 on WRKOBJ does a CRTDUPOBJ (it says so right on the screen) but option 3 on WRKOBJPDM does a 'Copy Objects' which does not appear to be accessible from a command line. Why do I want to know? A consultant claims that the two are different and I don't believe him! Thanks, Steve --This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing listTo post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
