I agree with Bryan. Thin clients are perfect for certain situations like warehouses where they get beat up. IP is much easier to manage than twinax. There are straight 5250 thin clients with only 5250 and then OS based clients (WinCE, CE.net, and Linux) that offer 5250 plus email, browsers, and readers.

Next time you are at a Costco check out the thin clients at every checkout station.
