You are correct Charles, and I would also add that changing for change sake
is not in my opinion a valid reason to change.

For us, green screen works and works well!  We do not have a need for high
end graphics in our operational departments.  Others may in fact have that
need; however, for us it is the reliability and uptime that is most
important, something of which we have never been able to achieve with any
other platform.

The flaw in the comparison is that while the modern Corvettes and Mustangs,
like the System i, have completely different hardware under the hood from
what the originals had.  The Corvettes and Mustangs, unlike the System i,

Sure you can recognize the legacy Corvette look, in the modern Corvettes.
But you'd never mistake a 2006 Corvette for 1967.

On the System i, however the green screen looks the same as it always has.
Sure, you've got ops-nav and web based interfaces.  But for way, way to may,
the only familiar interface to the System i is the green screen.
