Hi everyone,

We've got a 9406-820 that's running V5R2, and we're planning to migrate to
a 9406-520 running V5R4. We'd like to do this in two stages: 1) upgrade
the 9406-820 to V5R4, then 2) migrate over to the 9406-520 a couple of
weeks later.

The 9406-820 has a 5035 expansion tower with SPD cards, and IBM says that
those cards are not supported for V5R4. Our quesion is, will they still
work? According to IBM, the code is still there, so we're thinking they
probably will, but we're wondering if anyone else out there has experience
with this.

Has anyone done this, or do you have theories about whether it
should/should not work?

Thanks very much,
