I wonder if there's a PASE version of vi or emacs or EditPad....hmmm....should be I would think. On 5/25/06, Scott Klement <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
As far as I know, it does not. If you find one, please let me know! In the meantime, there's an EDTF CL command (not QShell) that you can use to edit text files from a green screen. It's not the greatest, but it works. Alternately, you can map a drive to your iSeries and use an editor from a PC (MS-DOS EDIT or Windows Notepad, Unix VI, PICO or EMACS, etc) --- Scott Klement http://www.scottklement.com On Thu, 25 May 2006, Ketzes, Larry wrote: > Does anyone know if Qshell has a built in editor on the iSeries? > > Thanks, Larry > > ====================== > > Larry Ketzes > Senior Security Project Analyst > American Life Insurance Company > > One ALICO Plaza > 600 King Street > Wilmington, DE 19801 > Phone: 302-594-2146 > Mobile: 302-559-1631 > Email: larry.ketzes@xxxxxxx > > > > -- > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. > -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
