Thanks, but that really doesn't help much for my problem.  I want to
programmatically delete all unused devices.  I do not want to delete a
device that was varied off by a user typing an incorrect password.

If I use QSYSMSG or QHST, I would have to process it regularly and
create a database file of devices.  Then every time we vary a device
back on for a user, I would need to delete it from that file.  That
sounds like a lot of work.

Somehow the system knows the difference, since I cannot get a signon
display for a device that was varied off due to invalid signon attempts.
 A device that has been varied off from lack of use (or by me using
VRYCFG) will automatically vary back on if I try to use it.
